Steve Lay said recently 250 UAF students moved into an apartment style residence hall. Leslie Wynne talks about how nice the new apartments are, signing up for the housing last spring, each apartment having a kitchen, rent, more space compared to a regular dorm room, sharing an entry way with other apartments, the layout of the new apartments, space and privacy, less social interaction, the atmosphere being more conducive to studying, the apartments currently being used by single students, but they could also be used for families or staff, and foreseeing the difficulty of getting an apartment in the next year because of their popularity.
