AAF-1865 contains footage from Fairbanks including a structure fire, Savannah Leonard by a car, Harry Leonard approaching the camera, cabins, sled dogs, and Savannah on snowshoes. Footage from elsewhere in Alaska shows a pilot starting a Stearman bi-plane on skis, aerial views of the community of Wiseman and the Brooks Range, and a fire at the Alaska Hotel. Scenes from the Koyukuk region include a small dam, a large pump and pipe, and Harry Leonard (with a hydraulic giant) moving material at Archibald Gulch on Nolan Creek. AAF-1866 contains footage of a dog team on the Chena River in Fairbanks; Russian pilot Mavriky Slepnyov walking toward the camera with an unidentified man, Savannah Leonard, and Harry Avakoff (in dark suit); airplanes at Weeks Field in Fairbanks; and an airplane on skis taking off. Koyukuk region footage includes men at the Wiseman roadhouse. Men are (Left to Right) no I.D., Sundquist, Ace Wilcox, Poss Postlethwaite, Albert Ness, Martin Slisco, and no I.D. In the second panorama, Harry Leonard is the last man in the row. At Wild Lake, Sundquist holds a rifle. Footage shows the Hope family, including Henry and Ludi, at a camp. This is followed by footage of a cabin, Ace Wilcox and Vern Watts at a sluice box at Bill Kind's mining camp, Bill Kind on the runners of a dog sled, Roshier Creecy and Sundquist, a tent camp, Sundquist sharpening a saw, break up on the Koyukuk River, miners shoveling ore into a sluice box at Bill Kind's operation on the Hammond River, Ike English by a sluice box, an airplane in Wiseman, Roshier Creecy panning a sample in a washtub over a campfire by a windlass at Gold Creek, Creecy pulling a sled over ice, dogs pulling a sled, Wiseman as seen from a hillside, possibly Allakaket village with a log church, and an aerial view of a village. Footage from Fairbanks includes the Chena River breaking up and airplanes at Weeks Field. Footage from the Wiseman area includes the Ulen family, a self-tripping dam on Gold Creek, a snared black bear, a moose, Harry Leonard prospecting with a back pack, a floatplane being flown by Wiley Post with Will Rogers on the Chena River in Fairbanks, mountains near Wiseman, and hunters with caribou heads and meat. AAF-1867 Footage from the Wiseman area includes high water running over Harry Leonard's Gold Creek dam, a mining camp with small sluice boxes and a prospect boiler, men shoveling ore into sluice boxes, and Harry Leonard at a hunting camp with three moose heads. Footage from Fairbanks includes people at Weeks Field getting into a single engine Wien Alaska Airlines airplane (possibly piloted by Herman Lerdahl) and a Mirow airplane on skis. Footage from outside of Alaska includes a United Airlines Mainliner airplane and travel across the United States from Key West to New York City and El Paso (possibly shot by a friend borrowing Leonard's his camera).

Reel 3 is labeled "Caterpillar Tractor Company presents 'The Diesel Trail to the Orient,'" and it contains views of a Pan American World Airways Flying Boat airplane, barges, earth-moving equipment, Hawaii [?], and a China Clipper airplane.
